Eduardo Vidal

Eduardo Vidal is a Partner at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP and is Co-Chairman of the firm’s Latin America practice group.  He is a leading corporate lawyer with a long track record in the region.  His practice concentrates on corporate transactions, including corporate governance counseling, global capital markets offerings, syndicated loan financings, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings, private equity investments and project financings. 

Eduardo has represented companies operating in capital-intensive industries, investment banks, institutional investors and commercial banks in transactions throughout Latin America.  His practice covers a broad range of industries, such as energy, including electric power and natural gas, telecommunications and media, infrastructure construction, including toll roads and water works, consumer products and financial services.

Eduardo received his J.D. and B.A. from the University of Chicago in 1981 and 1978, respectively.  Eduardo is listed in Euromoney’s “Guide to the World’s Leading Capital Markets Lawyers” and is a Fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel.  He is a member of the New York Bar and speaks Spanish fluently.
