Edmundo Vallejo

Edmundo was born in Mexico City, and graduated in 1979 from the Universidad Metropolitana in Mexico City as a Chemical Engineer.  In 1980, he graduated from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, with a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering. In 1988, he obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.  

His work experience includes Industrias Resistol, Procter & Gamble and Raychem Corporation.   In 1991, Edmundo joined GE and since then has worked in areas such as Business Development for GE Corporate, GE Plastics in Mexico, as well as in the US and GE Real Estate.

At the beginning of 2001, he was appointed President for GE Mexico and three years later, in April 2004, he was appointed President for GE for the Latin American Region.  In August 2006, Edmundo was elected President & CEO for GE Capital Consumer Finance Latin America.  In 2009 Edmundo joined the Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresa (IPADE).
