Both IAPE programs welcome the participation of English teachers from public institutions who work with under-resourced populations throughout Mexico.

IAPE Teachers' Collaborative

The IAPE Teachers' Collaborative USA takes place at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, USA, and is designed for teachers of English (including coordinators, supervisors, and advisors) at public schools in Mexico who work with under-resourced populations; trainers of future public school English teachers at public universities or normales superiores in Mexico; and teachers of English at public universities with whom IAPE has a pre-established agreement.  The selection committee seeks teachers with leadership potential and advanced English proficiency who are committed to working together to make a difference in their schools following their participation.  Participants must have a minimum Institutional TOEFL (TOEFL-ITP) score of 500.  Scores on other English proficiency exams are not accepted as a substitute for a TOEFL exam.  Because group composition is a critical factor in assuring the program's impact in Mexico, preference is given to groups of three or four educators from the same state, with different levels of responsibility, and who are committed to working together as a team to implement new teaching practices in their states.
