Quarterly eNewsletter Fall 2008 Volume 5, Issue 2
Dear Friend,
This Thanksgiving season gives us pause to reflect on all that Worldfund is grateful for. First, and foremost, we are thankful for your support. Worldfund is about to celebrate its 6th anniversary, owing to your generosity.
We are clearly living in a moment of profound change. However, what remains constant are the dreams of the 32,000 (and growing) students whom Worldfund impacts throughout Latin America. Worldfund's board of directors and staff are fully committed to growing our education efforts -- Schools, Teacher/Principal training and After-School Science/Math programs -- this year. To that end, Worldfund Mexico is now operational and we are about to launch Worldfund Brazil, in Sao Paulo.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Goodrich, Riquelme y Asociados (GRA), and Ulhoa Canto, Resende e Guerra - Advogados, who have worked doggedly, on a pro bono basis, over the last six months to incorporate Worldfund in Mexico and Brazil, respectively. Both law firms demonstrated the highest level of professionalism and passion in helping Worldfund raise education levels in the communities in which they are active.
We would also like to thank YouTube, which provided Worldfund with its own channel as a non-profit organization, that can be accessed at www.youtube.com/worldfund. We will regularly add to this page new Worldfund videos, both edited and unedited directly from our education projects in the region.
Worldfund's scholarship program, where we connect benefactors with individual students, is growing and has been received very favorably. Would you consider funding an individual scholarship?
We at Worldfund and the thousands of Latin American students and teachers whom you touch wish you many blessings as we enter this Thanksgiving season.
Warmest regards,
Luanne Zurlo Founder & Executive Director
 Thank You
