Luanne Zurlo | Fundadora e Presidente
Luanne fundou a Worldfund após uma carreira de nove anos como analista de valores mobiliários em Wall Street (Smith Barney, CSFB e Goldman Sachs). Durante esse tempo, ela foi classificada pela revista Institutional Investor como uma das principais analistas de telecomunicações Latino Americanas. Luanne possui o MBA em Finanças e Contabilidade pela Escola de Administração da Columbia University, Mestrado em Relações Internacionais pela Universidade John Hopkins e Bacharelado em História pelo Dartmouth College.
Shanel Balloo | Program Assistant
Shanel joined Worldfund after graduating with a BA in Government from Dartmouth College. Her major concentration was International Relations, and she minored in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Shanel has interned at Breakthrough Inc., a human rights advocacy focusing on immigration in America. While at Dartmouth, she was involved in several anti-violence campaigns and organizations, specifically working to reduce sexual assault on campus.
Louisa Benton | Diretora de Desenvolvimento e Comunicações
Louisa Benton ingressou na Worldfund em 2009, tendo 10 anos de experiência na captação de recursos para várias instituições sem fins lucrativos culturais de porte, incluindo a American Associates for the Royal Academy of Art and American Ballet Theatre (Americanos Associados da Academia Real de Arte e Teatro do American Ballet). Como jornalista colaborou com o The Miami Herald, o St. Petersburg Times, e o The New York Times, e viajou muitas vezes para o México, Venezuela e Espanha. Alfabetizou jovens em situação de risco social na Reserva Indígena de Salt River, no Arizona, e em albergues para moradores de rua em Nova York. Louisa possui Bacharelado cum laude (com distinção) em História e Ciências pelo Harvard College e Mestrado em Relações Internacionais pela Columbia University, onde foi bolsista através da fundação Mortimer Zuckerman.
Mary Bourque | Diretora Operacional e Financeira
Mary Bourque ingressou na Worldfund em 2009. Diretora Gerente aposentada do JPMorgan Chase, onde ocupou os cargos de Chefe Adjunto do Departamento de Pesquisa em Participação Acionária para as Américas e Chefe do Esforço de Pesquisa em Participação Acionária para a América Latina/Europa Emergente. Mary Bourque ingressou no JPMorgan em 1990, e passou vários anos trabalhando em fusões e aquisições na América Latina, e após como analista de participação acionária cobria conglomerados Latinos e os setores de petróleo e gás. Ela foi classificada como analista nº 1 de conglomerados pela Institutional Investor por cinco anos consecutivos. A Sra. Bourque possui o Bacharelado em Química pelo Dartmouth College, e Mestrado em Relações Internacionais e Economia Internacional pela Escola de Estudos Internacionais Avançados da Universidade John Hopkins.
Jim Citron | Director, Inter-American Partnership for Education
Jim, who joined Worldfund in 2007, has worked for over twenty years in language and intercultural education. Dividing his time between Mexico and Hanover, NH where he is an Intercultural Education Specialist at Dartmouth College and a Master Teacher and Teacher Trainer for Dartmouth's Rassias Center for World Languages and Cultures, Jim has taught Spanish and Intercultural Communication at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels and has served in a variety of leadership capacities in international educational exchange in the United States and Mexico. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Educational Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania, an Ed.M. in Administration, Planning, and Social Policy from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, and a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Dartmouth College.
Elena Espinosa de los Reyes Wingate| Director of Worldfund Mexico
After 21 years working within Bancomext for the Mexican Government promoting trade and foreign investment, Elena joined Worldfund as Director for Mexico in 2007. She received her undergraduate degree in economics at ITAM (Mexico City) followed by her Masters, also in economics, at the University of Kent, UK. At Colegio de Mexico she researched immigration, minimum wage, and income distribution issues. Other research at Banco de Mexico involved commercial policy. Elena has taught mathematics, statistics and economic development at the UNAM and Anáhuac Universities. At Bancomext, Elena was Trade Commissioner in Atlanta, GA and London, UK. She has been the Bancomext Director for both Asia and North America. While in London she was Mexico's representative and alternate member of the board at the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development). In 1995 Elena won the International Woman of The Year Award in Atlanta, Ga.
Sara Levine | Program Director
Sara Levine has over ten years of experience working with non-profit organizations, both domestically and abroad. She lived and worked in Oaxaca, Mexico for two years, facilitating workshops on a variety of topics including community-based economic development projects, gender, and nutrition. Sara has also been a classroom teacher in South Central Los Angeles, and a pre-school teacher in Madrid, Spain. Most recently she was Director of Raising A Reader Alameda County in Oakland, California, where she was responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of an early childhood literacy program, working with teachers and low-income and English-learning families in the Bay Area. Sara holds a BA in American Studies from Yale University, and an MA in International Affairs with a concentration in Development and Latin America from George Washington University.
Kelly Maurice | Diretora da Worldfund Brasil
Kelly Maurice ingressou na Worldfund em 2010, após uma carreira de 25 anos em negócios bancários internacionais. Ela trouxe para Worldfund sua vasta experiência em Gestão de Fortunas no Banco de Boston, no JPMorgan e no Royal Bank of Canada, onde se especializou no Brasil e América Latina, ao chefiar o desenvolvimento de negócios corporativos e institucionais. Kelly mora em São Paulo, Brasil, onde participa ativamente de atividades comunitárias internacionais e locais desde 1991. É membro do conselho da Worldfund e exerce papéis de liderança em diversas organizações sociais. Kelly Maurice possui Bacharelado em Letras pela Universidade de Michigan.
Marcos Paim | Diretor do STEM Brazil
Antes de ingressar na Worldfund em 2009, Marcos trabalhou no Laboratório de Estudos Cognitivos da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (LEC/UFRGS), onde treinou professores e gerenciou projetos educacionais para a Organização dos Estados Americanos (OEA) e o Ministério da Educação (MEC). Ele também gerenciou projetos educacionais para o Grupo Positivo, o Instituto de Tecnologia do Paraná (TECPAR) e Prefeitura de Curitiba. Marcos graduou-se em Física pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
Lucy Prado | Business Manager
Lucy joined Worldfund in 2008 after graduating with a BA from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. At Gallatin, she focused her area of concentration on Marketing and the Construction of the Latino Identity. She has volunteered as a tutor for several NYC public schools. Lucy graduated magna cum laude.
Ivonne Sevilla | Manager, Worldfund Mexico Ivonne joined Worldfund in 2011 after ten years of working with a non profit organization as Director of personal development. She has a BA in education and human development as well as experience organizing conferences, training seminars, and other events.
