Mano Amiga Mexico Celebrates First Day of 2009-2010 School Year at Three New Schools
During the final days of August 2009, the Mano Amiga school network celebrated the first day of the 2009-2010 academic year at three new schools - Mano Amiga Cancun (Quintana Roo), Mano Amiga Morelia (Michoacan) and Mano Amiga Santa Fe de la Laguna (Michoacan). The new schools are reaching 1,439 students, and will add additional grades each year until they provide a complete preschool through high school education. There are now 23 Mano Amiga schools operating in Mexico, and a total of 33 Mano Amiga schools throughout Latin America.
